It was rare air yesterday, too. I'm not much for name dropping, but I ate lunch with multi-published author Heather Snow (www.heathersnowbooks.com), Daphne du Maurier Award of Excellence in Mystery/Suspense winner Katy Madison (www.katymadison.com) and, believe it or not, Carla Cassidy (www.carlacassidybooks.com) who recently received the Centennial Award from Harlequin for her 100th published novel. WOW!!
What's so amazing about these women, and many others who attended, is their willingness to be real. One of the blessings in this business is that successful people truly love helping others become successful. It's never a competition because readers (myself included) love finding new authors to add to their list of favorites.
I once heard that you become like the people you hang around most. That's great news for me because I am incredibly fortunate to have the opportunity to hang around such successful and prolific women. And I'm looking forward to following in their footsteps!
